Spoofing Email Scam Alert

It's come to our attention that a spoofing scam has been attempting to solicit gift cards by impersonating our Transitional Pastor, Rev. Scott Wilson. Spoofing is when someone's email or personal information are faked, much like phishing, to attempt to scam people that may expect correspondence from the particular individual being impersonated.  Please be aware that Pastor Scott and anyone else at LPC will NOT request that members go out and buy gift cards to send digitally as 'incentives' or in general.

The messages are currently being sent from parishoffice1243@gmail.com, but these scams are always quick to adapt and this may come from other email addresses as well. You should only ever expect correspondence from our standing pastor at pastor@lpcva.com, so be careful to check email before responding.
